Who Are We

Bonnell Industries (1964), is the first choice for our customers owing to the versatility of the service. This has led to many of our customers reducing their supplier base by as many as 9 companies since using the Bonnell electric motor and mechanical repair service. The Founder, Trevor Bonnell completed his motor rewind apprenticeship with Dynamo Motor Repairs and Aston University in the 1950's. His 2 sons grew up with the business around them and found they had a flair for mechanical repairs bringing the versatility and expertise we find today. The excellent service has led to our becoming stockists of new electric motors manufactured by TEC although we are able to supply Marathon, Universal, Baldor, Brook Crompton, Bonfiglioli, Flender and many others.

Our Mission

We can rewind and repair many types and makes of electric motors, fans, pumps, motor gear units, transformers, compressors, generators, though we are not limited to this having rewound electrical items from vintage locomotives and canal barges. We are happy to assess the repair potential of anything which might normally be considered obsolete or "too old".

We have recently become approved stockists of Marathon electric motors and can also supply all makes and types of new electric motors, fans, pumps, motor gear units, transformers and related items often at discounted rates.

In recent years we have taken on more of a supportive role to lift engineers, assisting on site to remove and replace damaged or worn out lift drives, gearboxes and sheaves. We also supply chain and phosphorbronze bearings. If you have any other requirements please ask.
